Hollingsworth Ellery | Jaguar Landrover £3m Project Completions
Following a very busy period for us at Jaguar Landover, we have successfully delivered three important projects to one of our most valued customers:-
Eastlands Trailer Park
This £1.7m project was halted for several weeks following the discovery of extensive quantities of asbestos waste buried in the ground. Hollingsworth Ellery worked with Jaguar Landrover and the specialist asbestos contractor to develop a phased strategy for the encapsulation and capping of the asbestos. The completed project includes a marshalling yard of over two acres in area with high bay lighting and a sophisticated CCTV system. The entrance and exit gates and barriers are installed to Home Office security standard PAS 68 and are controlled from a new building which includes DHL admin, a drivers welfare section and security facilities. Jaguar Landrover and DHL are delighted with the project. Its completion will enable Jaguar Landrover to redevelop the existing Trailer Park as part of its ongoing programme of remodelling and improvements to site facilities.
The ReWork Crib
We were awarded the contract to construct a new Re Work Crib to replace the existing building which was due for demolition as part of Jaguar Landover’s massive 19/20 redevelopment programme. Because of delays to our initial order we were asked to reduce our programme period to meet the original completion date. Having been presented with a difficult challenge we were determined to achieve it. Our site team and all our supply chain partners worked together to reduce the programme by three weeks by working longer days and through several weekends.
T36 Offices and Conference Centre
Plans to install a new robotic production area meant that an existing office would have to be demolished. To enable this we were asked to construct a new facility which included offices and conference facilities along with a welding laboratory and a hot desk area complete with a new lift to the first-floor facilities. As the end users saw the project develop, many requests came for alterations, changes and additions to the scheme. By working closely with Jaguar Landrover we were able to incorporate the changes with the users being delighted at the end result.
Our ongoing relationship with Jaguar Landrover continues and we are currently looking at a further £6m value across several projects at the Halewood production plant.
