Hollingsworth Ellery have made significant progress with the construction of a new reinforced concrete tank farm for Veolia at their Ellesmere Port plant.

The project is situated on the last occupiable available space within the facility’s footprint. This being an extremely tight strip in between existing tank farms, pipe bridges, and vessels.

As well as the difficult access Hollingsworth Ellery have removed 180 Tonne of boulders at nearly 3m below ground to allow precast piles to be driven. A tank base was also discovered which has meant the pile design configuration has been changed to miss it

The piles have now been successfully installed and the tank base has been concreted……work now commences with the construction of the tank farm walls.
